I didn’t get a good feeling from the place as soon as I walked in. It was loud, a bit messy, and everyone working there seemed kind of annoyed or checked out. The lighting was really harsh too, and the waiting area felt so cramped that I couldn’t really settle in.
I’m not expecting some luxury spa or anything, but the vibe made me feel like I had to stay on guard, like I might get talked into something or end up being fooled somehow. It just wasn’t relaxing at all, and I pretty much wanted to leave the whole time.

Checkout was fine until that little tip screen showed up and made things weird. The whole tip prompt felt pushy, kind of confusing, and just got in the way.

I booked online like I was supposed to, but when I got there, they said they had no record of it at all. No booking, no explanation, nothing. It was just a total waste of time. I had to rearrange my day for nothing, it was really annoying. Really annoying. If the online booking doesn’t actually work, what’s the point?

I got my hair styled here and it looked good at first, so I thought it was going to hold up better. But after a little while it started falling out and didn’t really last the way I hoped. Maybe I’m being too picky or just didn’t explain what I wanted well enough, but it felt a little average for me. Not terrible at all, just not quite right.

I went in asking for a simple light brown and somehow walked out with random orange patches like I’d been personally styled by the Hair Color Clown Committee. The stylist kept saying it would fade, but right now it looks genuinely awful. Not exactly the look I had in mind.

"Pretty unprofessional experience"
I booked with costcutters, the whole thing felt unprofessional. Replies took ages, the information I was given wasn’t very clear, and when you ask basic questions, you kind of expect someone to just explain things properly, not make you feel like you’re being a bother. Nobody really seemed to take ownership of anything. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but it definitely put me off using them again
"Customer service really let me down"
I tried reaching out to costcutters.com about an issue I was having, it felt like I was just being passed from one person to another with no real effort to help. The replies took forever, and the whole thing came across like they didn’t care once they had my business. That just doesn’t sit right with me, if a company takes people’s money, they should at least have the decency to provide proper support. I won’t be using them again

"Just didn’t feel worth the drive"
I checked Cost Cutters hoping to find a salon close by, but the locations just don’t work for me. The nearest one is still a long drive, and it’s not near anywhere I’m usually running errands, so it felt like more hassle than it was worth. I ended up not booking anything because I just couldn’t justify going out of my way for a haircut. I really wish they had more convenient spots around town.

"Posted hours were wrong again"
I checked costcutters.com before heading over after work, and it said they were open, so I figured I was good. Of course, when I got there, the doors were locked.
There wasn’t a note on the door, no updated hours, nothing to explain it. this is exactly why I don’t trust posted business hours half the time anymore, it feels like they’re just there for show.
It was just a waste of time and gas, and frustrating after a long day. If the online hours aren’t accurate, what’s even the point of listing them? I probably won’t bother trying again

The communication was terrible. I was just trying to ask about my appointment, and instead of getting a straight answer, I got passed around and told different things by different people. It seriously felt like nobody had any idea what was going on, what a joke. I don’t mind waiting a bit if someone actually keeps me updated, but I ended up wasting my time and still never got a proper answer. Really not a good experience...

"Nice Staff, But I’m Not Sure I Trust Them Now"
The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and I did appreciate that they greeted me and made it feel comfortable at first. But the service was just okay, and toward the end it felt really rushed. That kind of threw me off because once it feels like they’re just trying to get you out the door, it’s hard to fully trust them with your hair. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn’t great either. I might go back if I needed a quick cut, but i’d be a little hesitant now.

I took my son in for what was supposed to be a quick trim, and while the stylist was nice, the whole thing felt a little rushed. I had a feeling around the ears looked uneven before we left, and I should’ve trusted my instinct because I ended up having to fix it a bit at home

I tried booking with Cost Cutters a few different times, but I could never find an appointment that actually worked for me. The website would show a few openings, then once I clicked on them, they were either gone or not really available. I even tried calling the salon, but that didn’t really get me anywhere either. I’m not looking for anything complicated, just a basic haircut after work. Compared to other places where I can usually grab a quick spot easily, this felt like too much hassle, so I’ll probably just go somewhere else.

They did sort out my bad cut in the end, I just wish it hadn’t taken so many calls and all the attitude to get there.
